Working as a key member of a film or TV drama production
The role of the assistant directing team (first, second and third assistant directors) is extremely important in a drama production. Currently there is a shortage in South Africa of second assistant directors – which in turn is leading to a shortage in first assistant directors. This is a hands-on course that covers all the knowledge, skills and systems required for second and third assistant directors working on TV drama or feature films.
Who should attend this course?
The Assistant Director Course is designed for film school graduates, as well as those who have had some training or experience of working on a drama set and wish to develop their skills as a second assistant director.
