FTC85 – Business Writing Skills

This course is designed to assist you with your day to day report writing needs in the workplace. The outcomes addressed by this course include:

  • Identify and respond to textual features specific to texts
  • Recognise information explicitly stated in a text
  • Analyse, synthesise and organise information explicitly stated in a text
  • Make an evaluated judgement by comparing ideas in a text with external criteria from other written or oral sources and own experience and knowledge of the business sector

The Fundamentals Training Centre has designed this course on the Unit Standard 119459, namely:Write/present/sign for a wide range of contexts. If you would like to become competent in this unit standard there is an assessment component, which will be conducted through the completion of a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE). This process will be clearly explained.
