It is therefore necessary to recognise that in order to be inducted into and kept abreast of these developments, one has to participate in continuous training and development in order for the company / organisation one serves to remain competitive and up-to-date with the latest innovations and practices.
The following courses in FTC’s Security Training and Development for Business, in partnership with cutting-edge training providers and specialists in this field, are provided to delegates who wish to be introduced to develop a keen understanding of and become highly proficient in security leadership and management in the business environment. The following courses are offered in this programme:

- Security Awareness, Concepts and Practices including Electronic Security Systems
- Electronic Security Systems: CCTV and Access Control
- Close Contact Protection (VIP Protection)
- Investigation Management
- Maritime Security
To ensure that participants on the courses receive the highest quality training in line with FTC’s guiding principles we have ensured that all companies and facilitators are registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and has undergone the required training relevant to the level of certification granted by PSIRA.
Who should attend these courses?
These courses are aimed at middle and senior management level personnel (supervisors, superintendents and managers) who want to have a better understanding of, be more effective leaders and managers and have all the necessary technical competencies to be sought after operatives in the security environment.
Each of these courses is offered at the Introductory, Intermediate and Advance levels. The Introductory level is referred to as Level 1, the Intermediate as Level 2 and the Advance as Level 3. The topics covered at each level are largely the same, with more insights and the level of complexity increasing as participants move from the introductory to the advance levels of the course. Each level of the course can be conducted over a period of 20 continuous days. Clients may request to have the course broken down into smaller units, dependent on the topic choices.
